HE LIFTED UP HIS SHIRT TO SHOW ME HIS SCARS

When i was sitting in a pediatric ward in HUSM, while writing some notes on my book, a young boy approached me quietly. He knew that i was writing notes from computer into my note book. He stared and didn't say anthing.

I noticed him for a while, and then i turned my head to him and smile.
I said to him,

"What are you looking for young man?" He was smiling at me and say nothing.

Then I continued asking him, what is your name? How old are you big-guy?

"My name is Khairi, 8 years old"

We had some chat and i noticed that he seems really comfortable/happy/used living in the ward. So i guess, this kid might being admitted for quiet some time.

"Now tell me, what happened to you Khairi? Why are you warded here?"

He answered,
"I had stomach operation, twice"

I was shock! Oh really? Poor kid. Can i see your scars?

He lifted up his green shirt and showed me the surgical scar, from right ulbilical region to left umbilical region, maybe about 10cm long.

He smiled and seems really fine with the disease.

What happened?

First operation was for removal of his appendix, and second one due to adhesion complication of the first surgery. I was really sad at the moment. You are just 8 year-old, but already undergone 2 major surgeries. You are really strong!

I spoke to him to be a strong kid, and then we read about Historical Book provided by Pediatric Department in the ward. His knowledge was good as for normal 8 years old school boy.

We chatted, and then i walked him to his mother and i asked further detailed about his medical and surgical history. It's guiet sad isn't?

Before i left the ward, i went to his bed again. He was lying still on his bed quietly. Then i called for his name,

"Khairi, this Coki-coki is for you. You can eat by tomorrow" He smiled and i walked away while praying him be patient and syukur of what God has planned for you for your life journey. His mother was watching us also, she smiled and closed her eyes back when the conversations over.

Sometimes in life, we cannot predict or plan most of things of what are going to happen to us in future. We might be planning to become a strong gentleman and had a good salary from our job, buy maybe while we were kid, our parents died and we left school due to financial problems.

Isn't possible? Yeah for sure.

Be grateful everyone.

Regards.

Biar ibu bapa lapar, tapi bukan anak!

Kadang-kadang, mereka miskin bukan kerana mereka tak usaha, takdir tak menyebelahi mereka.

Itu semua count in.
